External Service Providers

At Campbell House School, we work closely with families to ensure every student receives the right support to learn, grow, and thrive.

Sometimes this means involving specialist professionals from outside the school, such as therapists funded through the NDIS or other programs.

External providers can play an important role in supporting your child’s learning and wellbeing. However, they do not have automatic access to work on school grounds.

All requests must be made in writing by a parent or carer, allowing the school to ensure that the support is safe, appropriate, and in the student’s best interests.

What does outside support mean?

Outside support refers to professional help provided by someone who is not employed by the school.

This may include:

These services complement what the school already provides to support each child’s individual goals.

Because Campbell House School finishes at 1:40 p.m., families are encouraged to arrange external appointments after school hours, so therapies can occur in the early afternoon without impacting attendance or learning time.

How the process works for parents and carers

1. Parent or carer request

Parents or carers submit a written request for external support, explaining how the service aligns with their child’s RISE Plan goals.

A Parent Consent Form must also be completed and returned to the school office.

2. School review

The Learning and Support reviews each request to ensure it meets Department of Education guidelines and supports the student’s educational needs.

If approved, an information and paperwork pack will be provided to the external provider.

3. Approval

Once all documentation is complete, the school will confirm approval and arrange suitable times for support sessions.

Therapy cannot begin until written approval is provided by the school.

4. Annual review
This process must be repeated at the start of each school year to ensure all requirements and documentation remain current.

Therapies and in-school access

A limited range of external supports can take place on school grounds, depending on space, supervision, and safety requirements.

Due to the nature of our setting, external providers are generally unable to conduct in-class or playground observations.

However, school staff are able to:

This ensures external therapy aligns with each student’s educational plan while maintaining a safe and consistent environment for all students.
