About our school
At Campbell House School, we believe every young person deserves to feel safe, supported and capable of success. We provide consistent, explicit and trauma-informed learning and wellbeing opportunities that recognise each student’s strengths and potential. Through safe, structured routines, positive relationships, and a strengths-based approach, we enable students to be seen beyond their challenges and to grow into confident learners. Guided by our values of curiosity, connection, and consistency, our staff demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and responsibility, engaging in collaboration and ongoing professional learning to deliver engaging opportunities tailored to individual needs. In partnership with families, carers and the wider community, we build a culture of safety, growth and belonging that empowers students to flourish within school and beyond.
Classes at Campbell House School are smaller than those in traditional high schools. In general, classes have a maximum of seven students; each class is supported by a teacher and a student learning and support officer (SLSO). Classes are made from mixed year groups and are classified as Junior (Years 7-10) and Senior (Years 11-12).
Alongside our curriculum, students take part in programs that build skills in:
- communication
- independence
- life skills
- social skills.
Our classrooms are set up to meet each student’s needs. We make sure students feel safe, respected and ready to learn in a way that suits them. Our staff are caring and are skilled to help students feel confident, connected and proud of who they are.
